Dog parks are a great way to socialize your fur children! They are happiest when they can run around in a "pack." So have fun watching your dog and learning how they interact with each other, and make some friends of your own in the process!

Some general rules to follow at the bark park (refer to the park links below for more specific rules to each park):

--Make sure your dog's license is current and worn visibly.

--If you see your dog doing its "business," make sure that you are ready to pick it up immediately- you wouldn't want your dog running around in other dogs' "business," would you? Bring plastic bags with you in case the park is out of them.

--Always make sure the gates are closed so that dogs cannot get out- this is for their protection and your own so you don't have to go chase them out on a busy street!

--Supervise your dog at all times. Do not allow digging or "harassing" other dogs or people.

--Always carry your leash with you and be sure to keep your dog on a leash until it's inside and the gates are closed.

--Kids under age 12 must be with an adult.

--Some parks have areas for passive dogs and areas for more "friendly" (i.e. tend to be more aggressive). Make sure you take your dog to the appropriate area, and remember, aggressive behavior is not tolerated.
